COVID-19 ADVISORY [1-04132020]

Dear SD Data Center Customer,

SD Data Center remains fully operational with onsite technical staff continuing to monitor and support your critical operations. As the risk of community spread remains high, we are requesting your continued partnership during these difficult times.

In order to maintain continuity of operations and keep our employees and customers safe, we are reminding all customers to proactively enforce the following:

Immediately regulate all onsite activity

  • Limit site visits and onsite personnel to critical activities only. Work activities requiring 3rd party vendors, onsite auditors or non-essential staff should be deferred.
  • Limit remote hands service requests to emergencies for essential services only. Requests for new services will be scheduled for completion on a per request basis and may be subject to delays.
  • Restrict all shipments to critical parts and supplies only. Contact us before arranging any large deliveries as there may be disruptions to unscheduled deliveries.
  • Limit time in common areas including onsite conference rooms, break-rooms and lobbies.

Reinforce health awareness & social guidelines

  • Immediately report onsite positive cases of COVID-19 to SD Data Center personnel as well as restrict access to any employees or vendors experiencing flu-like symptoms or in direct contact with anyone experiencing symptoms.
  • Maintain social distancing guidelines (e.g. 6 feet or 2 meters) from all personnel and limit any prolonged face-to-face interactions.
  • Increase personal hygiene practices such as frequent hand washing and encourage visitors to wear cloth facial masks while inside the facility.

In addition to the guidelines above, SD Data Center has placed a moratorium on Planned Preventative Maintenance through May 1st. This includes all planned preventative maintenance activities requiring vendors onsite. Vendors will be engaged for critical repairs as necessary and our onsite engineering personnel will continue daily rounds, routine infrastructure maintenance and inspections. Any questions regarding maintenance deferrals or scheduling should be directed to SD Data Center’s Director of Operations.
