SD Data Center is committed to providing secure data and connectivity solutions not only to its local community in Brevard County, Florida, but nationwide and across the globe. The current network infrastructure challenges in South America, particularly in Brazil, has SD Data Center architects’ interest piqued. With SD Data Center access to both ground and satellite networks, they may have a solution to offer South America.
On July 25, 2016, SD Data Center hosted twelve Brazilian delegates, from the Brazil-Florida Chamber of Commerce (BFCC), at its corporate headquarters data center facility in Melbourne, FL. Each of the delegates were young professionals currently working in high-tech industries including information technology, software and telecommunications. The SD Data Center team and BFCC engaged in a round table discussion to brainstorm and exchange ideas as to how, together, they can help advance technology in Brazil. The team enlightened SD Data Center about Brazil’s current network infrastructure along with some of the existing needs and challenges, while SD Data Center shared some best practices and brought new ideas to the table.
Additionally, part of SD Data Center’s engineering team provided the BFCC group with a tour of its state-of-the-art, compliant and purpose-built data center facility. Showcasing the facility’s Tier III features, the delegates learned about the data center’s n+1 redundant infrastructure, highly-available network of redundant fiber carriers and enterprise vCloud private data center.
